Lizz Strandberg - St. Mary's School

“I was awarded a grant five years ago to purchase a classroom set of ukuleles. Every year since then, the 3rd grade class at St. Mary’s have learned how to play the ukulele. It has provided the students such a great opportunity to learn a new instrument. I never would’ve been able to provide my students with this experience if it wasn’t for the money I was awarded through the Bird Island – Olivia Community Foundation.”

Elizabeth Strandberg

Having the Bird Island – Olivia Community Foundation as a partner and resource in our community is extremely valuable.  Our wrestling program (PreK-12) has been able to receive grant monies to help us purchase equipment that allows us to enhance our entire program.  Thank you to all that contribute and support Bird Island Olivia Community Foundation.
